Kristin and Ryan | Intimate San Diego Elopement | Del Mar, CA

Kristin and Ryan have to be some of the most special, creative and energetic people I ever met. I met Kristin through photographing weddings and was so honored to be able to capture her perfect day. With original plans of eloping at a near by abandoned plot of land foiled (the cops may or may not have been involved...), we moved to plan b of a gorgeous, private bluff over looking the beach. Family tuned in via Facebook live and these two had a special, intimate ceremony in Del Mar.

They had so many creative and personal details. I adored the fact that Kristin opted to have a sprig of lavender in a special vase necklace that she will have forever. This enabled her to be hands free and she seemed to feel so much more present, not having to keep track of a bouquet but still having flowers around.

The ring box Ryan made when he proposed to Kristin may be one of the coolest things I've ever seen. He made it out of a tree from their back yard (omg). Since Kristin is a photog, he used an actual aperture (one of the main parts of a camera!) as the opening of the box. It really works too! On top of that, he also made the bike for their parade down Cedros! In fact, their entire home and backyard is a wonderland, filled with all the things they create!

These two are so freaking special and it was truely such an honor to be a part of their big day. You can see their passion for each other oozing out of their ears and it's so cool to watch them together.  They are already off on their next adventure, which I highly recommend checking out at https://www.letsbelocals.world/
