“I can’t imagine working with anyone else. She is so good that since my wedding, I have been to at least 3 more within a year that all hired her to shoot them. And they were all in different states all over the country!”

How long have you been doing this?

Do you shoot film?

12 years and nearly 500 weddings. I’ve seen some shit. On top of that, before I was a full time photog, I was a vet tech for 5 years, regularly in emergency situations. There is nothing I can’t handle or am not ready for on your big day, but it’s always nice if we can keep biting to a minimum. I’m fluent in sticky family dynamics, expert at timelines and have eyes in the back of my head to avoid missing any moment.

Hell yes! Film is my roots! I started on a little 35mm film point and shoot as a kid, which led to getting an old, unused darkroom at my high school back up and running. It’s been by my side ever since. I love film because it’s organic, loose and a little extra special. It forces me to slow down and be incredibly intentional with what Im shooting.

What if we hate having our photo taken?

Good! Me too!! Almost every couple you see in my work has told me “we’re so awkward in front of the camera and hate having our photo taken”. In my opinion, direction is KEY, but also knowing when to back off and let it unfold naturally is just as important. I will never leave you wondering what to do with your hands and I won’t stop telling you how good you look. It will be fun, quick and something that doesn't consume your whole day.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes! I’m a San Diego based but always looking for an excuse to hop on a plane/train/automobile. Whether you’re getting married at the beach 10 minutes from my house or Narnia, I can’t wait to be there.
