John and Victoria came to Boston for the week. John wanted to show her all the most picturesque parts of the city and had me waiting at Acorn St. Rain and thunder had been predicted, but the skies remained clear for him to pop her the question. As stopped her to tell her that he loved her, a small crowd noticed that I was taking their picture and stopped to watch. He got down on one knee and got an emotional and beautiful yes!
I must totally be a good luck charm, because every proposal I have shot so far has ended up with a yes :) This day ended up being a bit colder than we thought it would be and Alyssa definitely needed a bit of coaxing to get her to the spot but it all ended up working out! These two are incredibly sweet with each other and it was so cool to be able to shoot so many purely organic, intimate moments.
I can not say enough how much I love shooting proposals. Going through the pictures afterwards is always amazing because the moment it self goes so quickly. I love being able to help preserve such a quick, but important moment in people's lives.
I love proposals. I love love love them. I'm so happy that opportunities to shoot them keep popping up. It's also really cool to see all the work that goes in to them and to work with the guy on setting everything up. I'm usually in contact with a mom or bride, so it's nice to see the other side!
Burke and Lauren are members of the community boating on the Charles. He had asked me to go scope out the area a few days prior so I could let him know where to stand. I had a gorgeous sunset that day and we timed everything out perfectly so we could get that light again. Naturally, since Burke was proposing on what was the first day of Spring, all those plans went out the window as we got more snow. As I make very clear, I love snow, so I was still excited. We ended up getting a totally dreamy and magical landscape. Snow just makes everything more magical!
Nick contacted me a few weeks ago because him and his (then!) girlfriend were flying from Seattle to Boston for the weekend and he wanted to propose! Shooting proposals is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to shoot and these two were just so perfect. Nick made her a photo album of their lives together and then popped the question. Everyone in the area cheered and Ashley was just so cute and overwhelmed. I'm so honored and glad that I was able to be a part of it and help them preserve this moment!
