Matt and Lauren | Stormy Beach Engagment

The forecast was for a hurricane, but Matt and Lauren figured we could still make an adventure out of their engagement shoot. I am so glad they did because this is one of my favorite shoots of all time. I will take a stormy and moody over perfect weather any day. Top that off with a perfect couple who ooze chemistry and love having fun, and I'm all in. I think about this shoot pretty much on a daily basis and can NOT wait to shoot their wedding this summer!

An enchanting evening in the Arboretum

The way Sheila puts it, her and Mike met when she "looked like a total bag lady". She was mid travel and waiting under a tree with all her things when Mike came by and spotted her. I doubt that any amount of luggage could hide Sheila's big baby blues and the two have pretty much been together ever since!

They moved up to Mass from Texas. We met up this winter to take some photos in the snow. It was obviously freezing but I had such a great time shooting with them. Since we no longer have 6 feet of snow, I asked if they wanted to meet up again to shoot and they were both totally up for it! Mike and Sheila are so sweet together and we ended up getting the dreamiest light for our session. Sheila's leg was almost chewed off by bugs right at the beginning of our shoot, but she seems to be able to always take a stunning photo, regardless of conditions! Both Mike and Sheila are musicians, so keep your ears peeled for them!

They keep saying yes! Another Boston Proposal!

I must totally be a good luck charm, because every proposal I have shot so far has ended up with a yes :) This day ended up being a bit colder than we thought it would be and Alyssa definitely needed a bit of coaxing to get her to the spot but it all ended up working out! These two are incredibly sweet with each other and it was so cool to be able to shoot so many purely organic, intimate moments.

I can not say enough how much I love shooting proposals. Going through the pictures afterwards is always amazing because the moment it self goes so quickly. I love being able to help preserve such a quick, but important moment in people's lives.

Boston Public Garden Proposal: Nick and Ashley

Nick contacted me a few weeks ago because him and his (then!) girlfriend were flying from Seattle to Boston for the weekend and he wanted to propose! Shooting proposals is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to shoot and these two were just so perfect. Nick made her a photo album of their lives together and then popped the question. Everyone in the area cheered and Ashley was just so cute and overwhelmed. I'm so honored and glad that I was able to be a part of it and help them preserve this moment!

Gloucester, MA Engagement Session

The North Shore is the best. It's such a picturesque part of Massachusetts that still has so much character and Boston in it. Nell and Kayote contacted me about doing engagement photos and when Nell said she lived in Gloucester, I jumped at the chance to shoot there! I'm not a huge beach person, but I have to say that this winter has really made me fall in love with the beach...but just in the winter (I'm a lakes girl myself). Nell and Kayote are a total riot and were a blast to shoot with. They showed me all around Gloucester and we had such a great time. They were also totally cool with romping through knee deep snow so we could get to some really great spots. Adventurous couples are my favorite and I feel so lucky that I keep getting to meet so many of them!

Nell is going to be running the Boston Marathon as part of B.good's Burger Brigade. The Burger Brigade runs to raise funds for B.good's Family Foundation, which aims to provide grants to a collection of passionate individuals with a burning desire to change things for the better. They believe  that "the most sustainable, impactful changes are the ones communities design for themselves."  She had the burger with her, so we figured we'd take a couple shots with it on!
